Meet Luke Pickar, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Luke Pickar earned his Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a minor in English, and went on to complete his Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) at Western Washington University. During his clinical training, he completed an externship with the Puget Sound VA, spending time at both the American Lake campus in Lakewood and the Seattle VA hospital, gaining extensive experience working with a diverse patient population.
Raised in Lynnwood, Washington, Dr. Pickar has lived in several states across the country—including Illinois, California, and Texas—before ultimately returning to the Pacific Northwest. He and his wife live in the South Sound and are excited to welcome a puppy into their family this summer. When outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies, gaming, reading, and listening to music.
Dr. Pickar’s interest in audiology began at a young age, following frequent visits to ENT and audiology clinics due to childhood ear infections. While initially pursuing computer science in college, he discovered a passion for audiology after taking introductory courses and realizing the meaningful human connection the field offers.
He is dedicated to providing patient-centered, compassionate hearing care that helps people reconnect with their loved ones and the world around them. He finds it especially rewarding to witness how improved hearing enhances communication and helps patients regain meaningful moments in their lives.
