Meet Alison Vega, Au.D.
Dr. Vega brings over twenty years of professional hearing health experience to Olympia. A native of the Northwest, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Western Washington University and her doctoral degree in Audiology (Au.D.) from Utah State University. She began her career in Seattle and moved to Olympia in 2004 to practice with an ENT clinic. Dr. Vega opened her private practice in 2011 so that she could focus on the specialty of treatment for hearing loss, balance and tinnitus.
Dr. Vega specializes in differential diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss and tinnitus. She believes that the first step to better hearing begins with a complete diagnostic evaluation; Understanding the problem is the only way to really resolve the issues. Dr. Vega is known for a thorough and thoughtful approach to hearing loss and tinnitus treatment and ensures patient goals are met single every time.
A dedicated active member of our Olympia community, Dr. Vega serves on the Washington State Board of Hearing and Speech and is a member of the board for the Washington Center for Performing Arts. She enjoys volunteering in our community, providing hearing screenings and advocating for those who have hearing loss. She is a proud recipient of Utah State University’s “Outstanding Young Professional” award and the business Examiner’s “40 under 40” award.
As much as she is dedicated to her profession, Dr. Vega enjoys spending time outside, especially when the sun is shining, with her family. She loves hiking, dancing, cooking, spending time on Puget sound and exploring the San Juan Islands. Dr. Vega is a sun lover!
